Counselor's Corner

Hello to all parents/guardians of Armada Elementary school! My name is Ms. Hart and I am the new school counselor.  I am excited to be given the opportunity to help your child through the wonderful, and sometimes challenging, elementary school years. Some people like teaching, others are passionate about reading, but what I find fascinating is talking to, connecting with, and helping young people. I would like the students here to think of my office as a warm friendly place, where they are always welcome. My office is also a safe haven- a place where they can get help if they feel confused or worried.  As a school counselor, it is my responsibility to address disproportions and provide effective support in all student's academic, career, personal and social development.

Services Offered:

Small counseling groups on a variety of topics including but not limited to social skills, friendship, bullying and anger.

Individual counseling- Individual counseling can begin any time during the year. If  additional mental health services is needed, referrals can be made.

Armada Elementary is a great school, but that doesn’t mean that our students won’t face challenges while they are here. I would like your children to know that they have an ally, and that there is always an adult at school who will be on their side.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have regarding school based counseling here at Armada. I am truly delighted to have the opportunity to serve you and our Bulldogs!

Best Regards,

Samantha Hart
